Drug treatment facilities have highly trained counselors who can give the addict’s family procedurals way to confront him or her. Family members may contact the counselor before the actual day of intervention. This will enable the addict to know that his or her family members are concerned about the problem. There are some minor reports that in some instances, the intervention fails. This may in turn result in family members developing bad feelings towards the procedural way of in which the confrontation was offered. Many people strongly believe that interventions have little significance to alcohol addicts. Alcohol intervention is of great importance since it may alter the general perspective of the addict.
